the controversy over the apparently soft suspension has been addressed ad-nauseum by BMW engineers. They have pointed out that in it's current setting the M3 will keep up, or even beat the Porsche Carrera around the track. The suspension is so well engineered that you really don't need spine snapping springs. I must point out that I, like 99% of people out there, think that unless it's harsh it cant handle!!
