yup i test drove an s4 today... hmm the transmission is ok... i like the 6 speeds, but a lil more notchy than the bmw... as for the steering, s4 has nothing on the bmw... sure it might take turns a bit better, but there is absolutely no road feel... i still like my 323, and if it was a stick, i would say that it was better than an s4... sure the s4 is faster, but it just doesn't feel right

I agree totally! The s4 transmission is horrible...i hated the gearchange. The car was a lot of fun but i like the manual on my 328 much more.
