A good point you have, but 4k a year is really rough. I see your point about what an accident could do to the overall premiums of the other cars, but any car like the M3 in an accident, with a person my age driving it, would be categorized as high risk, and I would probably
end up paying like 5k a year or something outrageous like that.

I plan on moving over the insurance to my name when I turn 24, that is apparently when the insurance companies stats show less likelihood for an accident.

Thanks for your advice.

Owning a high profile car like the M3 comes with a great deal of responsibility, and you should learn to deal with it. Think about it, if you were to get into a bad accident with your car, God forbid, your parents would be screwed and end up paying higher premiums on their cars. It's not worth it just to save $500 to $1000 bucks a year? PLease, been their done that. Be a man and pay for your own damn insurance.

PS - I'm 26, and insurance for me on the M3 is $2250/year full coverage, so it cant be that much more for you, maybe $3000-$3500/year, and if you can afford a car like the M3, you cant be complaining about nickels and dimes.
