major attraction of M3 - modern suspension and design and 4 seats. will end up driving more instead of going in "other" couple's car with usual slow driver.

major attraction of M coupe - uniqueness (i used to dislike it but have come to like it).
with modern suspension and all the other improvements in the E46 (ASC/DSC or whatever it is, integrated NAV, etc.), the choice would have been a bit harder. As it stands the M3 wins on too many counts at least for me!!

am still not too sure. And therefore I am waiting for the LA auto show to see whether my choice has become more difficult.

1) it is more spacious and bigger
2) it has 4 seats
3) I prefer the E46 M3 design
4) I have driven a M Roadster for almost 3 years
5) I don't want a car for the track

Nevertheless - I like the M Coup because it is truly a unique car and is among the BEST on the track.
