Both the Antracite and Ti Silver cars where spy photos taken on west cost USA during testing.

BMW "disguised" the cars by blacking out gills and wheels. Like it did any good! The people who know the car recognized them anyways, and the people who don't would never know the difference.

What you saw in that photo was black paint on a silver painted wheel. Not brake dust.
