When you order your car do you specify that you want an SMG ? or how would this work. Does anyone have any ideas ? People from Europe how did it work before ? I called my dealer and asked them to place me on a list for SMG. They did and I am #1, but if it is an option then I would fall back to the same spot as I was on the normal list.

SMG has never before been offered in the US, but it is strongly rumored that it will be an available option here. At this point it's not available anywhere, the second-generation SMG is still in development.

The question is does anyone know whether it will be offered as an option, or do you have to specifically order an SMG M3.
