I received my C/D magazine yesterday and had to turn right to the cover story: The 2001 M3. The article was very short and to the point. They absolutly love the engine (claiming it's only 1 of 3 engines that can produce that much Horspower per liter; the other 2 are the Honda S2000 and some Ferrarri). They said that the power band is smooth from the lower range all the way til red line. The car it's self, however, they claim suffers from a massive case of understeer. They said that this is a complete shock that wasn't present in the last generation M3's. I realize that you cannon purchase a car based soley on what you read, but in the case where we are all on 18 month waiting lists to get one, we must trust what we read!
