I'm sure there are many factors that come into play when a dealer establishes who gets a car and when. For instance someone may be number 5 on the list with a lease ending in March and another person who's number 4 may have a lease ending in April. Aren't they going to switch them around to line up the contract dates?
The feeling I get by reading the various messages here is that that list is sacred. My dealer says that the list is only an indication of how many cars they need from head office and that they (the dealers) still ultimately decide who gets what and when.
I've also got the sense that the dealers are only following guidelines set out by the head office and that the head office ultimately only cares about selling lots of cars, and doesn't particularly care how the dealers alot them.
I wonder if any dealers monitor this board.
