only one point of difference is that my dealer did not write MSRP; he said that they never sell over MSRP and frankly i doubt that he will stiff me. he wrote refundable too. same guy from whom i bought another BMW. anyway i'm not worried since I wont be paying over MSRP anyway since it is not worth that much to me. I will be simply moving over to the Porsche if it is a question of premiums over MSRP as much as I love M3s.
Cool then, dont forget to post when you finally get it. Lets compare notes and see whether we really get it in October or so.
Wow, that's really weird that you're in the same position as me and received the same comments from your dealer. I specifically asked if MSRP was gonna be written on my Buyer's Contract. I also specifically asked my salesperson to hand-write the words "Refundable Deposit" and sign and date it. She gladly did so ! Also, as she knew I wanted a 2002 model, she wrote the 2002 in the "Year" box.
So the Contract was faxed to me exactly like I wanted it. Another smaller Mid-South dealer I had spoken to wasn't too keen on letting me know what position I would be in if I ordered through them. (What's up with that ?!) So, I told them to forget it ! They should know where I would stand !
My dealer also stated that they would not sell over MSRP, but still yet, I felt like I needed to see that written on the Buyer's Contract.
Good Luck ! I'll keep you updated !
