All BMW are pre-wired for cells, so they will get the antenna..shark fin (new) contains info for navigation also. Some of the prototypes I've seen didn't have the antenna..but I am sure all production units will have.

Hi all,

I posted this on but didn't get a response, so I thought I'd try here.

Question 1: in all of the official pics I've seen, the new interior has a really attractive aluminum trim job on the doors, dash, and around the gearshift. I read something that led me to believe this will not be available on US cars. It is also not listed in the current brochure. Does anyone know if this is the case? If so, will it be possible to get the aluminum anyway? I really like the way that looks with the black interior. I'm likely on track for a 2002 model, so perhaps the trim options will be expanded by then.

Question 2: the shark fin. Comes on all cars or just those with the cell phone option? I think it looks KILLER and is a great replacement for the traditional, kludgy telescoping radio antenna on most cars.

Question 3: CD changer. Have to order separately? It's not even listed as an option in the brochure.

Finally, does anyone who has taken early delivery in Europe have any pics of a the yellow paint job? I'd like to see some true-color photos that haven't been Photoshopped.

Thanks in advance for any info.
