hp per dollar weight (archive)

while we are "mind fucking", as andreas insightfully puts it, why not try to create some sort of quantification to quality, as we obviously have nothing better to do than this, or
argue about colors.

i am putting out the suggestion:

peak hp (which means nothing, but why not)
divided by
(weight*dollar)

dollar being us dollar cost of base price of each model

remember, this is only a suggestion, and any rationale explanation as to why this would be inapplicable bullshit is entirely welcome. i didnt feel like arguing against myself this morning

i would have used some combination of torque and hp integrals over gearing mph ranges instead of peak hp but i dont have access to that.

so... anyway, here goes

**** US version used vehicle in 2000 prices

im sorry to say the porsche 911 turbo didnt rank very high up there, (somewhere between NSX and diablo). I think a subjective handling + others rating would serve as some kind of hp modifier, but i didn't feel like doing that. the nsx would have rated higher, as would the m3, and the skyline as well. Z06 would probably not be as high, though it is a good buy
