SO I guess if my 105 lb grandma drives the new M3 it's "high performance" but if my 220 lb friend, who used to race professionally, gets behind the wheel it's immediately downgraded to a "sports coupe"...
( I wonder if I remove the knob on the stereo and dust off the dash board daily what kind of performance increase I'll get?)
time for e reality check my friend...
Are you a professional driver ?
Do you race all day long ?
Can you do the Nürburgring in 8 min 22 sec ? No ?
What a surprise... as long as you are not able to bring this car to the limit you can't complain about the weight or anything else. That's ridiculous...
Oh... and the most important of all: you did not drive the E46 M3 one single mile yet !! So how can you say it is too heavy... just because there are some cars out there with a few lbs less ? Don't make me laugh !
BMW must have good reasons why the E46 M3 weigh some 3'400 lbs. Otherwise they would make it lighter - don't you think so ?
You forget that The M3 has many missions. It is not a stripped down race car. It must be luxurious, fast, spacious and just perfect for every situation. It's not only a car which is fast like a 911 it is also a perfect daily driver with many skills. It certainly adds some weight I believe...
I'm tired of this nonsense. That's what I call "mind fucking".
