Let's see. There are some MAJOR (since you like all caps words) differences here. One, the Honda is a 4 cyl. not a six! Don't fool yourself into thinking that JUST adding two cylinders is trivial. There are some engineering feats that increase significantly in complexity just by adding one!
Now the other point. The S2000 and NSX are both HONDAS!!! Don't take that one lightly. Honda has some of the best engineers in the world. I'm not saying that BMW's M engineers are slouches but sometimes there is a team out there that makes the right moves and others that just don't see it. You know, that spark that comes to you while standing in a field or in the shower. The BMW M engineers could be 99.999% there and just need that one little spark.
