Majority of BMWs here in central Europe are carbon black - I've seen them under sodium lights, flourescents, and sunlight, and they always look like black metallic. Considering this thread, I would agree that there is a very slight blueish cast to the color, but I wouldn't call it 'carbon blue'. Itsa a great color!
