SMG = Sequential M Gearbox

LTW = Lightweight
This refers to the
1995 E36 M3 LTW
(some also call it an M3 CSL, but not an offical designation)

Less than 200 produced for USA.
1995 E36 M6 with

No radio
No A/C
Less sound insulation
Aluminum door panels
Cloth seats
Forged 5 spoke alloys

Selected engines - presumably those selected from engine assembly with better tolerances and / or slightly (<10%) better HP.

Alpine white exterior, black interior ONLY
M checkered flag decals, left front, right rear
Racing gear (rear wing., strut brace, oil baffle etc) supplied in trunk.
Application of any of the racing parts voided warranty

Rumors of an E46 LTW and E46 SMG have been discussed.

No official word yet, my opinion is SMG = likely
LTW = not likely
