Although I do not believe the base MSRP in the US will be $50,000, I want to be on record (just in case any BMW reps monitor this board) that I an officially out and will buy or lease from their competition instead (if it turns out to be true). I also do not believe that BMW would release the car to the rest of the world and leave its biggest M-CAR market in limbo. That having been said any company that would be so incompetent doesn't deserve our hard earned cash. Hope you guys agree.

and the functions associated with it, like public relations and communication with potential buyers via dealers and BMWNA. There also seems to be incompetency around manufacturing and production, particularly the role of third party suppliers.

The M3 will be an engineering masterpiece. In contrast, the engineering and design departments seem ultra creative and competent, all models, but particularly the M's. My 328i is terrific and the new m3 is supposed to be better yet. This is why I am waiting and what I am waiting for.
