It's a shame it has come to this. This should have been a thrilling experience from the first time we heard about the new M3 right to the moment we started the engines of our very own car.. But BMW has deprived us of this. Prouction problms are understandable, and nobody wants them to release the thing with subpar quality. BMW only had to explain what the delays were, and how long they would be. All it would have taken for us to stay happier was to be kept informed, even if it was simply a once a month press release by BMW stating officially what the projected USA release date is..
They couldn't even afford us that, and thats what is infuriating about this whole thing. We are the people who buy there cars, pay their salaries and keep the company thriving. Give us some respect!
My lease on my M3 is up in May 2001, and whether I drive another BMW is totally contingent on whether the M3 I have been waiting 18 months for is ready. If I knew when to expect it, i might consider holding off on getting another brand vehicle, but if we are all still clueles by then, then they lose my business. Its sad that the best cars on the road are built by such a company.
Three cheers to all of you who, like me, are putting things on hold waiting for this car. Maybe things will be brighter in 2001.
Happy New Year!!!!!!!!
