the prediction, back in the days when the convertible was still on the drawing board, was that big dealers will get 3 to 4 cars per month. Now that sop for coupe and convertible is the same, or virtually the same date, does anyone have a clue as to how many convertibles will be sent each month out of that allotment?

The reason I ask is b/c I wonder to what degree, if any, the convertible will slow down the line of people waiting for coupes.

I am assuming that there is 1 assembly line for both cars. If not, maybe the question is irrelevant and the dealers will get their regular coupe allotment plus some convertibles.

Convertibles. That is how it has always been and how I think it will continue. the only thing is, I do not know if that alloctaion will include the about 350 demo cars or not.

p.s. That allocation # that I was told was for the year 2001, I was not told if that was for the model year or the calendar year. I was also told that info in Novemeber with a December production so who knows if that takes into consideration the extra delay.
