same issue here, why no deep dish? more (archive)

There's a pic of the rear end of a Phoenix Yellow M3, near the ocean at dusk, that shows the shallow dish of the rears (18 inch US version). I have it but have not posted it. I can send it to someone if you want to see it clearly.
However others clearly show the deep dish. There are definitely two versions. I was just about to ask my dealer about it and demand the deep dish. Every M car has the deep dish, please tell me this is an option someone?? Grinch? Jon? anyone??

And the M3 in this Carbon Black pic sure doesn't have the dish of the show car.

I'm really curious why decided against the extra dish on the show car and went with the same dish all around. The front and rears have different widths so its not like they were cutting costs by making all the wheels the same.

It's just that all the reviews mostly show the 19" wheels, or the front wheel of the 18". Hard to find a good pic of the 18" rear.
