In my 328Ci - I'm 6'1 and I fit just fine(1 inch left between hair and edge of sunroof, my younger brother who is 6'4 fits a bit tight, but fine in the back seat, of course he won't complain if I let him borrow it...:)

Someone also mentioned that the manual seats allow for a little more room. This makes sense, as there is no need for clearance for motor.


Alot has been said about the roof/head clearance potential problems with the new M3 but no specifics, actual seat measurements. I am 6'2" . I definately had problems with my last 911 and the hair would get caught in the sun roof or the roof/ceiling would get hit with good bumps. Is the clearance that tight? Any one have the measurements? I have sat in other e46s and did sense a problem nor have I seen any comments by testers which had the sunroof models. Any comments?
