After going to the NAIAS a second time, I wonder if there is another reason why there won't be aluminium trim. I know everbody has said that it's because of quality problems. Then why in hell is it still offered for the M5, a car that costs 25k more. I also noticed that it is offered on the Z8. Are they using a different supplier than the others? Maybe they reconsidered and felt that the M3 was not worthy of the trim. The least they could have done was not tease us from the beginning and through the introduction with all of the cars equipted with Aluminum and then all of a sudden pull it from the list and stick us with crap like cheap plastic. Does anyone seriously think that there is a defect with the Aluminium trim. We should all email Tom S. of BMW M and bombard him with our displeasure. Sorry for venting, just my .02. Any other opinions.
