How about heavy, understeer, lighter steering feel, questionable engine reliability? I personally always loved the M3 and was very much looking forward to getting the e46 M3 (#6 on the waiting list). However, after reading multiple reviews, I started to have doubts if the first year model is a good idea. Did not want to wait any longer to be possibly disapointed after such a long wait. Picked up a 98 M3 with 4k miles and a 3yr warranty. Happy as can be! Now I can drive the car I really love and wait to see what happens in the fall when the MY 2002 rolls out. Maybe we will see a
V8, maybe a GT, (2002/2003?) who knows! In the meantime I will keep pushing my deposit back in the waiting list.changing.
Anyone out there who has been waiting on a list for months (#2 spot) and was totally excited about getting the m3, but now, not so sure if its going to be a good choice or not?
Well I am and I was wondering how others felt:
My issues:
possible SMG for next year, heck we've seen them testing it in NA already
new color, especially two tone interior leather/alcantera
Power boost, its GOING to happen folks. I expect to see a boost in 03.
New 16:9 Nav/dvd monitor
MORE TRIM OPTIONS
1st run quality mechanical problems
PRICE, this car is no longer a 42k M3, its a $56k M3.
Any thoughts, not flame bait, but my concerns.
