If your need/use for the car includes hauling more than 2 people frequently (family, clients, etc.) I'd pick the M5, hands down. If you aren't saddled with those requirements, like me, it's a toss-up. For pure driving, the 3 is going to be the ticket. But, as an all-around classy performace car, that will still be great to drive, the M5 is the choice. Can't go wrong, either way. Something about the lean efficiency of a high-performance I-6 appeals to me more than the brute force of a V-8.
