In Reply to: M3 tested in "CAR" mag. had 330i 17inchers. Why? posted by Ross on February 04, 2001 at 23:42:34:

Are 17 in wheels an option on the new M3. This makes sense for city drivers who have to deal with pot-holes. We have a 9-5 Aero with 17inchers and we've had 3 sidewall punctures since we bought the car in July. That means we've had to buy three Michelin 225 45R tires @ 400$ a pop. I can only imagine how bad 18inchers would be let alone 19's.
