Er, would these happen to be the same people who believe that the earth is flat?

Sorry, but I have difficulty believing your statement. The Merc is heaver, has an auto tranny and on a race course I am certain, would be left for dead by the M3.

Furthermore, I'd like to say that it never ceases to amaze me at the "laziness" of Mercedes engineers in taking the easy route to finding more horsepower. Bullet-proof, high revving, normally aspirated engines require a great deal more skill, knowledge and engineering prowess to develop than (if you'll excuse the simplification) 'bolting' on a supercharger does.

Anyone like to hazard a guess how much power the wheezy MB V6 would put out without a supercharger?

;-)

Greg

It’s official: according to preliminary tests in Germany, C32 beats M3 in 0 to 100, 0 to 150 and 0 to 200, by 0.2 sec, 0.3 sec and 0.3 sec respectively.
