depending upon design, the Turbo can compensate for a reduction in atm pressure by increasing boost. This allows for maintaining hp where a normally aspirated will loose a little. I know that some cars are designed to compensate for this up to 5k feet or so.

If the turbo design does not compensate for this and runs solely based on volumetric compression then it too will loose power as the atm pressure decreases.

I don't know if the S4 compensates for this or not, though it wouldn't surprise me.
