True, I could invest this money but then what am I saving for? In 5 years following your logic, it's better to reinvest my money, and again and again. I'll be the richest man who never had anything.
Sorry but I don't understand people to live meager lives just to have a stash of cash when they die. I'd rather have a rich life and a cheap funeral.
Plus, If you can't afford it, don't get it. If buying this car puts you at risk of not eating or loosing your house, it's not right for you. On the other hand, if you could easily afford this car and not really notice the payments, why not? Live your life, don't save it in a bottle.
