It would better to flip and roll to a stop. The reason being all that energy of a car going 180mph is expending over a greater time and distence. Other cars give and absorb damage as well. The worst thing is to hit a cement wall which has go give. All that energy had to expend in a much shorter time and distent. The only place for all the energy to go was back into Dale's car and into Dale.
