The car hasn't been produced yet, why would it show up 10000 miles away from the production line?

I just had to report the car I saw this afternoon in Palm Springs BMW. Brad mentioned it was there - do you work for them. First impressions were very positive. But this car is rather strange.

First thanks to them since not only did my wife and two 3-5 year old kids sit in it but we really spent some time there with the car. No test drive, of course, but they were very nice. And they arte sold out 25 on list for coupe at this time.

Anyway, the car was PY with Kiwi leather seats - very, very nice - and get this, dark wood trim! I thought it was a Euro car (it's BMWNS's not PS BMW's)but it had a US speedo! What is it?

The salesman says it can be bought from BMWNA - for - hold on $100,000!

Anyway, the color is actually very nice. With the metallic sheen it's a bit more sedate than the Dakar Yellow color. In the fluorescent lights, it very yellow. In sunlight much more subdued. The Kiwi leather and black roofline make the car REALLY sharp. This is now my favority combination of colors and what I'll order if Kiwi is available later.

I don't know how long the car will be there but anyone in SoCal shoudl take a look it if they can't wait a few months to see an M3 at their dealers. And you might not see this color (including Kiwi soon).

I'll habve some pics later this week and ask one of you to post them if anyone wants to see it.

As they say in the cartoons 'That's What the Man Said'. I have no reason to doubt the salesman there. I would expect one could get one NOW from Beverly HillS BMW for the same price. Including Kiwi leather and wood trim not available to us list holders. But all in all, the car was sharp and I *REALLY want one now!

These cars are never for sale!!!!
Sorry for the confusion.
Brad at BMW of PS
