Sure, you might get close to that on a 540i, but I assure you when you're in the dealer's office closing your bargain on the M3 this year, for some reason the numbers won't come out that way. If you get mad and refuse to accept the odd looking residual value, or the funny money factors, or whatever else the dealer may have tossed in, the dealer can simply shrug their shoulders and indicate that you are free to wait for another car when financial markets are more kind since the dealer has a long list of buyers ready willing and able to pay what is quite simply dealer markup in a different guise.

And people wondered why I don't like leases?
