All points about BMWNA well taken. But I'm sure SMG will see daylight somewhere in northamerica, some day. There were huge automatic sales here, so it stands to reason the next closest thing would sell here at twice the premium. Yeah, I know, it makes too much sense and therefore probably won't happen.

Every single bizzare decision that's been made seems to point to one thing... they're just using the M3 to sell regular 3s, better equipped, easier to get, and more profit for them. It's a shame though, they didn't put M5 buyers through this charade.

Nav is $3999 CDN here. If SMG were $6000, it would seem like a deal to me compared to BMW's Nav. Something I know I'd enjoy and use every day, unlike the Nav.
