I foud the RE-71s far better, wet or dry, than the Michelin Pilot Sports. Basically, the Michelins I could break loose at will. The RE-71s I could almost never break loose dry and even in the wet only once in a while, and only for a second or two. So compared to the Michelins, I liked them a lot. I never had a tire with so much grip regardless of what I trew at them.

Yes, they are the absolute worst tire in the snow. Soon as they get a bit cold, it's like glass on ice. But I keep a 2nd set of wheels for snows. The michelins may not be as bad, but still no where close to a set of snows.
