Back to the thread I started Fri., as telephone lines went down in storm, so no internet here.

LSB is becoming amazingly dark in these pics compared to the car I saw at the Boston Auto show. In the WSJ pic it almost looks like the bottom part of the car is as dark as Topaz, and as if purple paint has been added!

Are the pics are going beyond perceptual inaccuracy to the point of perceptual distortion? The front bumper looks darker than my steel blue 328i.

For the record I do hope we can restrain from flaming LSB henceforth, as some here will "Go for it", and then flaming the color will seem like flaming them.

I am more interested in how BMW is dealing with this in their ads. My problem with BMW here is not that they offered LSB, but that at least in the USA, they did not also offer one of their other terrific or more traditional blues as an option.
