Hi, I've always been interested in CS coupes. I would like to purchase one but don't know the first thing about what to look for in a potential purchase. I am not a DIYer and plan on having a majority of maintenance done by a qualified shop. A quick glance at local ads (Southern CA) shows prices ranging from $2200 to $14,000. I'm not looking for a life-long commitment, but just something I can drive around in on the weekends for a couple of years. Would it be a mistake for me to buy one? Would settling for a $2200 CS (not that I would) that runs be all that bad given my requirements? Would kinds of questions should I ask a seller? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

These are old cars. It is hard to find parts and someone to work on them. If you don't do the upkeep work yourself, buying a $2200 car is a terrible idea. That is basically parts car money for a CS.
