Re: what i love/hate about my E9 (archive)

-design (as someone said: "right from all angles")
-motor (performance, sound, durability -- all excellent)
-sweet getrag transmission (durable with a very positive feel)
-neat door handles (nice integrated design)
-those OEM 5-spoke alloys ("dino-esque")
-those enamel c-pillar roundels
-"aura" of interior (leather & horsehair aroma)
-pretty wood trim

what i hate:

-rust issues never go away (in terms of rust, it is irresponsibly engineered)
-pathetic a/c
-vinyl door panels (no full leather interior available; just seats)
-not enough real chrome (too much plastic, aluminum and nickel)
-front & rear window gaskets don't fit
-too many parts NLA (for example, horsehair unavailable)
-body gets stress cracks from lack of stiffness
-poor resale value
-ridiculously slow electric windows
-loud sunroof motor
-flimsy toolkit

don't get me wrong. all in all though, i love the car. it's like any relationship -- it has its good points and bad.
