The problem with E9 resale is the cost of restoration vs. the price you can realistically expect a real world buyer to pay if you decide to sell. As they relate to other cars of their era, Mustangs, Corvettes, GTOs, etc. are much cheaper to restore nicely and are easily resellable for at least the restoration cost, as long as it was not an "overboard" restoration. The same goes for MGs and Triumphs; they are relatively cheap to restore and buyers are easy to find at resale time. I would put E9s in the same category as Alfa Romeo GTV coupes from the early '70s. They are absolutely beautiful cars to look at and a joy to drive, but no one ever made any money at resale time. Colin
