On my 72 CSi it is inside the storage/hood release/fuse panel compartment on the left side of the steering wheel. It is a little knob next to the spring bracket that supports the access door. That is what my owners manual shows too for early CS's.

I took a look in there just now... it doesn't seem to have anything next to the bracket. I took a flashlight and poked around quiet a bit in there but I swear I still don't see it : ) There are a few extra cables in there from the previous owner's stereo installation, so I wonder if he took the reset knob out altogether (why though).

I'm going to go look again (this little thing is driving me crazy)... thanks for letting me know where it should be. Please let me know if you have any other info.
