Ddepends what your philosophy is !!! are you a genuine collector ? then you definitely MUST buy a CSL because it is one of the most desirable BMW'S and has a very important meaning in the history of the factory... are you somebody who just find BMW coupés of the seventies very nice and highly desirable ? then buy a CSi because it won't be that much expensive and it won't be a crime to adapt "modern" hardware (5 speed, 3.5 Litre engine or whatever..) just to enjoy the car.

For me like we say in France "il n'y a pas photo"
(something like : no doubt about it, I know what car is the one...)
