See Bob's reply above. The cars are worth so little (compared to Ferraris, right?) because of supply/demand issues, I'm guessing. Over 30,000 CS coupes were built, including the 2.5 liter cars and some 1,095 CSL's. By comparison, only 1,426 Ferrari 365 GTB/S were made.

I also think it has something to do with the prancing horse emblem on the hood, not just the low production numbers. Even as nice a car as the CS is, it just doesn't have the mystique associated with it yet to fetch that high a price, maybe someday.

All those collectors in the late 80's that bought Jag E-types for $85K+ or cobra buyers that spent $450K+ are hoping that prices go up as well....
