Complete conversion kit (lacking distributor only), including electrical harness, for sale for $1000.

If this is really a D-jet rather than a K-jet, the distributor is one of the important parts, is it not? If I had an E9, I'd want to go to K-jet.

K-jet was never offered on a big six by BMW, however L-Jetronic was and would be the next logical step for a fuel injection upgrade, particularly if you want to go with LH-jetronic with lambda control(O2 sensor)for better fuel economy.

D-jetronic is correct for the E9 and there are wiring diagrams and parts for this system on our cars. So D-jet would be the easiest to change over to, in my opinion. Simpler too.

The D-jetronic does require the fuel injection distributor, and will not function without it since the timing of the injectors is controled by a low voltage point set below the conventional high voltage ignition points. By the way, I replaced the conventional points with a magnetic trigger, breakerless ignition from Pertronix which worked flawlessly and was worth every penney spent on it, $60.00 from CArl Nelson's http://www.justbmws.com
