"Cosmetically and mechanically, the CS has much more in common with the Ferrari than the Kia..."
This statement still holds true. Never said they were identical or even very similar. Just more in common than the Kia. Both the Ferrari and CS have coach-built bodies. Both are front-engined (2-valved heads), rear-drive, relying on carburetors and have a minimum of electronic engine management systems. Both interiors, although richly detailed for their day, are downright Spartan by today's standards. Looking at both you can clearly tell they are from the same era, with metal (nearly useless) bumpers and rather intricate body details (and real chrome trim) and grillwork.
Not so the Kia, which looks like it popped out of a mold with its body-contoured and -colored plasticky bumpers. And the automated process by which it is built is in a completely different world than the other two.
There has almost always been a market for restored Ferraris. There is now a well-established market for restored CS Coupes. Will there ever be a market for a restored Kia? (Sorry, Rober K. Didn't mean to be so harsh on your new pride and joy. :) )
