I really opened a can of worms about painting my car.

I am curious how much you guys here on the e9 board have spent painting your cars, and what kind of a job each of you got for the money.

It sounds like a subject a lot of folks are interested in (enough to post thoughtful answers to my questions) so I think it would be worth the space.

Thanks for participating,
Robert

Dear Robert,
i am sure you tried every possiblity regarding your cs "shine", so forgive if i tell you something you already know, but there are several ways to bring your paint back to a nice shine.
your rusted wheel arches. you have surely checked if they are rusted thru, if they are not, it should not be necessary to replace them.
i will not fill up with diff "does", but if i can give you some help and tips, drop me aline or two.

Unfortunately I do have rust-through and the car has blisters in various places, so a good buffing won't do it. After all the areas are fixed, it would seem easier just to paint the whole car since buffing the good spots looks good for a week, but it "dies back" quickly.
