Pat,
Thanks for the tip though in this case it won't help me determine which wire goes to which connection.
The hazard light has 7 prongs that go around the plastic casing and an 8th one in the center of the surrounding 7. I tried getting a relay at a local recycler but it had 7 prongs combined with no center prong. Now you're saying yours has 6. Go figure! The one I purchased today is an EOM from the dealership.
I'm not doing any rewiring, just replacing the broken hazard light.

HHELP!

I asked someone (who will go unnamed) to grab the hazard light out of my 73 3.0cs, thinking that one would simply have to disconnect the harness. When I came home with the new hazard light, I went to install finding 8 seperate wires and no harness. I aked the individual who removed all the wires what order they were removed and the response I got was, "I thought you knew". Sooooo, here I am with a new hazard light and 100's of combinations (I guess this is were the college statistics class would have come in handy). Would anyone know the correct sequence or have wiring diagram that would show? The wire color codes are as follows:

Dbl wire red/white dot: Power
Green
Blue white
Blue/red
Brown
Green/yellow
Blue/black dot
Green/white

I guess the best order would be clockwise from the solder point.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I asked a dealership and they thought it had a harness so were no help.

I'll give you a hint that will help for the future, check the wire colors running to each light that is flashed by the switch to see if they match the wires that go to the switch. I do, however have a question, you aren't really doing any wiring on your car without a wiring diagram, are you?

And finally, I'll take a look at my wiring diagram to see if I can locate the definitive answer to your question.

Pat
