Hi all,
For you current owners of the CS coupe, what are the reward for owning such a rare, beautiful but inherently troublesome car? I am closing a deal on my 73 coupe, but would like your opinions before jumping on the bandwagon.

While some of the "features" of the e9 are unfortunate (like the Karmann body fabrication and its inherent corrosion problems), the car is basically a dead reliable piece of machinery not unlike more modern M30 engined cars.
Attached is the shot of my '72 3.0CS following 100+ hours of disassembly and prepping for its new (original) Alpenweis color. Now I can begin reassembly! BTW, that's plastic where the windshield belongs/I pulled the glass to paint the car and haven't replaced it yet. The hood/Trunk/Doors were removed and painted separately, but were replaced for the external painting.
Just curious what you are referring to as troublesome.
