Does anyone know much about speeding up sluggish window motors? I have had experience with cleaning comutators on american car window motors, and gotten great results. Just wondered if the same went for the coupe motors. Is there a better motor to use/upgrade; out of an E12 for instance?
Also have frozen rear windows, and cannot turn the regulators by hand. This seems to be pretty common eh?
Thanks to anyone who cares to reply.

VERY common!
I opened up my doors and removed the motors/regulators and found that I could hardly move the glass by hand. I loosened the rear track nuts and the window slides a LOT easier (gravity will allow the glass to slide down by itself), but no matter how I adjust the things, the glass tightens up again when I tighten the nuts. I think I'm just going to put some washers in as shims to keep the nuts from compressing things, tighten the nuts and leave it alone.
