Hi all,
For you current owners of the CS coupe, what are the reward for owning such a rare, beautiful but inherently troublesome car? I am closing a deal on my 73 coupe, but would like your opinions before jumping on the bandwagon.
For me buying my CSi was the realization of a dream over thirty years old. I still have the overseas delivery information that I obtained from Max Hoffman motors when I considered extending my enlistment in the Air Force in 1969 to enable a guaranteed assignment to Berlin and a chance to buy a Coupe there.
While I'm not sad that I did not do that Berlin tour, the Coupe remained in my memory bank and I finally realized my desire this summer.
I'm not sorry. I didn't buy the car as an investment in the normal sense, I bought it for personal satisfaction alone. It matters not one whit if its' dollar value is zero two to three years from now, my ownership and driving of it is the real value. Indeed, it the only value in my opinion.
