On the driver side of my CS, the chrome-looking stuff at the top of the door's hand rest / handle, which I can only describe as the "fake-chrome foil thing", is pealed and torn. I'm wondering if anyone knows where I could get a replacement for the material, if possible (or should I just peel it off and forget about it?). I think that if I could get the stuff somewhere I could cut just the right shape and stick a new one on, but where do you get fake-chrome foil stuff? : ) Thanks!

That suff is actually vacuum electroplated chrome that was plated right onto the plastic. Over the years it loses adhesion and lifts up. Peel it off and apply some aluminum tape available at building supply shops (It's got great adhesive on it and is used to seal heating ducts).

Get the thicker stuff if they have it. It can be polished nicely and will NOT come off if you clean the plastic well before applying it.
