On the driver side of my CS, the chrome-looking stuff at the top of the door's hand rest / handle, which I can only describe as the "fake-chrome foil thing", is pealed and torn. I'm wondering if anyone knows where I could get a replacement for the material, if possible (or should I just peel it off and forget about it?). I think that if I could get the stuff somewhere I could cut just the right shape and stick a new one on, but where do you get fake-chrome foil stuff? : ) Thanks!-Andrey
There is a foil used to do chrome on model cars. It has an adhesive backing and is very thin, so it conforms to any shape. It`s called "bare metal foil",and is available at any hobby shop that is big on model cars.If you cant find it , try "Scale auto enthusiast" magazine.Im pretty sure the company does mail order. This stuff is great for all kinds of things !
