the varnish on my wood was peeling, so i scarped it all off. Then took it to a veneer guy, who reglued some of the veneers with epoxy, other veneers were just peeled off.

Then he re-veneered in rosewood with epoxy glues - all of the grains running horizontal and book matched from one side to the other of the curved dash.

then 2 coats of epoxy and Awlgrip. the result is stunning. furniture like, and should with stand heat/ humidity for a very long time.
