I have found a 2800 cs without any rust but still need a complete restoration. Its one of the few coupes that I have seen without fender or rocker panel rust. Would it be better to buy this car or a 3.0cs? I haven't seen any 3.0cs without rust, even in California. Just want some opinions.

While I'd rather have a rust free 3.0CS over a 2800CS, I'd rather have a rust free 2800CS over any rusty car.

Just be sure that the usual places are indeed free of rust. I imagine you know all the usual places, but if not, ask here or by email. There are lots of folks who've "been there and done that" who would be glad to help.
